This is an on-leash event...
Barktoberfest is an “on-leash event,” so your dog must be on a leash in the Barktoberfest area during the event. There will still be separate off-leash areas for both large and small dogs, however.
Barktoberfest - Saturday, October 9th
Come join your favorite dogs at Fort Woof for the 7th Annual Barktoberfest! Barktoberfest is a fall festival for four-legged friends and their families. We’ll have a dog halloween costume contest, performing dogs, pet vendors, rescue adoptions and more. Check out the Barktoberfest photo gallery to see pictures from previous years' events!
- Admission is free (suggested $1 donation)
- Come see performing dogs!
- Cowtown Showdown K-9 Trial presented by Working Dogs of Tejas
- Over 25 dog-friendly vendors and rescue groups
- 7th Annual Howl-o-ween dog costume contest around 1 pm (Prizes awarded for top 3 costumes).
- Vote for which dog you want to be Fort Woof Mayor (you can nominate and vote for top pooch starting now!)
- Sign up for Woof for Life fun run just before the run (9am) or in advance at www.fortworthfightback.com/woofforlife (website coming soon) $15/$25 family (benefits the American Cancer Society & the Fort Worth Dog Park Association)

Barktoberfest is sponsored by 1310 AM The Ticket, the Fort Worth Dog Park Association and CLASP. Proceeds go to offset City budget cuts for Fort Woof Dog Park and improvements for the Fort Worth Animal Shelter.

Mayoral Election
It's an election year at Fort Woof! Get involved in Fort Woof Mayor’s race, where canines campaign to be Fort Woof’s top dog. (The candidate who raises the most money wins, so it’s the only election you can legally buy.)
