2010 Fort Woof Mayoral Race

Every two years Fort Woof holds an election for mayor during the weeks prior Barktoberfest. The Fort Woof mayoral candidate who raises the most cash wins. Of course, proceeds from the election go to support and maintain Fort Woof. With a lot of hard campaigning, Shawna Gibson’s dog, Sasha, won this year’s election. Thank you Shawna and Sasha! Fort Woof Greyhound Roundup, 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Every Saturday & Sunday

Every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Fort Woof Dog Park, a group of about 10-15 greyhounds and their owners meet for fun-o-plenty. Everyone is welcome, even if you do not have a greyhound. Watch out! When these greyhounds get together they are fast and don’t always watch where they are going. Tally ho!

Fort Woof After Dark, 7:00 p.m. every Thursday

This regular event was established as a way to let people know that the park is open and lighted at night, and to make sure that there is a fun group of dogs and people there when you arrive.
