Fort Woof’s Barktoberfest 2010 festival will be held on Saturday, October 9th, at Fort Woof Dog Park. Hundreds of dogs and their owners will gather from 10 am - 2 pm to experience the Halloween costume contest, dog related vendors and demostrations and lots of hound-centric fun. Be sure to check our photo gallery to see how past events have unfolded. To learn more about this great event check out the Barktoberfest page.
Each year, Fort Woof holds an election for Mayor during Barktoberfest. If you feel your dog has what it takes to govern Fort Woof, nominate him or her today by donating $20. The Fort Woof Mayoral candidate that raises the most cash wins, so tell your friends and family to vote. Of course, proceeds from the election go to support and maintain Fort Woof. (more info)
Every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Fort Woof Dog Park, a group of about 10-15 greyhounds and their owners meet for fun-o-plenty. Everyone is welcome, even if you do not have a greyhound. Watch out! When these greyhounds get together they are fast and don’t always watch where they are going. Tally ho!
This regular event was established as a way to let people know that the park is open and lighted at night, and to make sure that there is a fun group of dogs and people there when you arrive.
